I love listening to music on phones but I sometimes feel that phones don’t really give you the volume or the bass you would enjoy. Sometimes when I host a house party the music gets lost amidst of the noise from the crowd, but when I think to plugging into traditional speakers it defies the mobility I crave. Now with the launch of wide ranges of bluetooth speakers I am indulging in the wireless pleasure. I recently brought a UE Wonderboom but to come to that conclusion, I started evaluating various bluetooth speakers from base range to upto 10k. My goal was to find that one bluetooth speaker which gives me more value for money. Let’s dive in!

WIRELESS RANGE

Portronics Drum
Portronics Drum is my favourite in the starting segment. The most I love about this bluetooth speaker is the sound clarity. It is unbelievable!! It was beyond my expectations for sure. I recently used it in my balcony where I was hanging out with friends and it was windy. Even at top volumes the sound never cracked. It is quite nibble and easy to carry around; has a decent bass but I won’t advise this for the bass lovers though. It also comes with a in-built FM so enjoy the music on the go. You can take phone calls using these speakers thanks to its in-built microphone.

Pretty good distortion-free highs and mids while thumping decent bass. Loud enough for a mid sized room which is perfect for any city dwellers. It has got a IPX5 certification for water resistence. That means you are good with pool parties and water splashes but if you are planning to take this into the water, I wouldn’t advise it. The triangular design with speakers on both sides helps in creating the stereo effect without getting mushy. Comes with in-built mic to take calls.
